EU GDPR is an abbreviation for the European Union General Data Protection Regulation, a regulation that defines how organizations need to protect the personal data of European citizens.
How Does the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) Work?
Personal data is considered anything that can be used to identify a person, including first and last name, email address, ID number, credit card number, or an IP address from which a person visits a website. This regulation is applicable to all organizations located in the European Union or outside of it, that handle personal data of EU citizens.
